Do you work in digital marketing, SEO or a similar field?
Join us for a Real Talk suicide prevention workshop. A free, bite sized, 90 minute program that is accessible and adaptive with your needs in mind.
This event is open to anyone in the digital community and other sectors including charity, business and the general community.
What is a Real Talk suicide prevention workshop?
Our Real Talk suicide prevention workshop offers opportunities to gain the skills and confidence to talk about suicide and to start feeling more comfortable with the language and the feelings that come up. Real Talk helps you talk openly and honestly about suicide, which is still one of the most taboo subjects in the world today.
We provide a safe and welcoming space to share our communal knowledge and beliefs about suicide as well as some practical resources. There are opportunities for you to share your thoughts with others but there is never any pressure to do so. Some people prefer to sit quietly and listen.
Places are funded by donations, if you are interested in supporting a workshop please get in touch.
Some things we cover during the workshop:
- Should we talk about suicide?
- Some common myths about suicide, how they affect us and how they affect our community
- How you can start conversations about suicide
- Practical resources to support ourselves and people we care about
Suicide prevention for everyone
These workshops are designed for anyone in the community who wants to connect and find out more about how to prevent suicide in our community. People come to our workshops from all backgrounds and just about all walks of life imaginable. Everyone is welcome.
We will ask you to complete a short feedback sheet after the workshop giving you the chance to tell us what you think. This is a way for us to check the workshops are useful and keep improving. There is no expectation or pressure to share your beliefs, feelings or experiences. We want everyone to feel safe and respected at our workshops so that people can speak freely without fear of judgement.
